This was originally an infra - red heat lamp that promised to be the panacea for a wide range of ailments. Pifco were extremely bold in their medicinal claims.

At an original 350W it could burn a hole in your pocket if nothing else. The LED filament bulb I have used is 4w by comparison.

The LED bulb radiates a warm and visually interesting pattern produced by the modern filament bulb.
Retro 3 core twisted and braided black & white flex / Inline switch / 1amp 3 pin plug. Pat tested.

Like all of my items the lamp is stripped down completely into its component parts. Then I can determine what is salvageable, and what is beyond repair.

The white paintwork and Pifco 'Infrapower' logo were in very good condition for the age of the item. So I decided to keep them and painstakingly polished them up.

I loved the original funky orange paintwork of the tripod base but not the condition of it. I prepared / undercoated / top coated it in the original vivid orange colour.
